Reflections to Mist was created for Sam Houston State University The Woodlands Center, a new building on the Lone Star College Campus in the Woodlands, Texas. The piece scales the entire height of the four-story entry stairwell. The images were inspired by the pond and wetlands area as viewed out the window from the stair landings. Hand-formed ceramic renditions of pollen, wetlands wildlife and microscopic life are placed throughout the bottom 2 floors of the piece. The mosaic extends outside the building along the wall further integrating the space with the natural surroundings.
