A 35 foot wide by 10 foot high mosaic mural depicting the expansive marshland would have greeted the visitors at The New Wishard Hospital Women’s Entry. The mural include images of plants native to Indianapolis marshlands, emphasizing those with traditional medicinal powers. The proximity of the mural to the Women’s Gardens and the Well of Wishes creates an easy integration of the architecture with the mosaic mural.  The mural would bring the natural landscape inside creating an extension of the healing powers already incorporated into the surrounding design. The mural would be fabricated with a mixture of mosaic glass that will stimulate the viewer’s visual and tactile senses with varying color, size, shape, and texture.
